Benedict is a journalist and poet. His poems have appeared in a number of publications including Ambit, Magma, Other Poetry, Borderlines, the delinquent,
South Bank Poetry
and Succour, and forthcoming in Orbis. He's a featured poet in Plectrum webzine and Beat The Dust and performs at poetry events in London.

He storyboarded and co-directed, with animator Sandra Salter, the film of his poem
Cul de sac
which was shortlisted for the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival, Berlin. It has since been shortlisted for other film competitions and selected to appear in a number
of festivals.

Benedict is an occasional host of Moscow Rules, a literary journey in Hampstead
on behalf of The Sohemian Society and The London Adventure, tracing the action
in Le Carré's Smiley's People.
